The Astro app allows you to monitor your environment in real-time by providing live video views of your space. During setup, Astro learns the layout of your home by creating a map, which you can access anytime through the app. You can direct Astro to specific locations, and enhance the view by adjusting the periscope. If needed, you can also remotely activate a siren to alert you of suspicious activity.
Among its key features, the app enables you to see live feeds from different rooms, send Astro to various locations, and receive activity alerts for unusual sounds or unrecognized persons—although some features require a subscription. It can be paired with Ring Alarm to investigate security alerts and can sound an alarm when necessary. Users can personalize their home map by editing room names, adding borders, and setting zones where Astro should not go, ensuring safety and customization.
Furthermore, the app allows you to track Astro’s location on your customized map, review captured images and videos, and activate a Do Not Disturb mode. This mode limits Astro's notifications, only alerting you about timers, alarms, and reminders.
