You can play the game using a physical keyboard or a virtual keyboard and touchscreen. The app also has an auto-save feature that activates when the app loses focus, such as when the screen is locked or when you switch to another app. Additionally, the touch controls are highly customizable and there are automatic in-game contextual shortcuts.

The controls for this game include swiping for directional movement (or holding for a virtual joystick), tapping to confirm selections in the menu or to pause the game for one turn (or holding to pause for several turns), double-tapping to cancel or go back, pinching to zoom in or out during gameplay, and using the back hardware button to toggle the virtual keyboard (or holding to toggle keyboard shortcuts).
