Players start by selecting an aircraft and guiding it to a lower altitude, approximately 2000 feet. They must then direct the plane towards a designated blue ILS line at a considerable distance from the runway and enable ILS mode, which causes the plane to follow the line to land. It is important to capture the ILS at a shallow angle for smooth approach. Successfully guiding planes to runway landings earns skill points, which allow more aircraft to enter the airspace. Departing planes are mostly autonomous, choosing their headings and speeds, but players can instruct them to climb higher. Mistakes can reduce the skill level, affecting the traffic density and difficulty.
The game features include the ability to handle unlimited planes on multiple runways, giving radar vectors similar to a real air traffic controller. The difficulty dynamically adjusts based on the player's skill level, and there are options for custom traffic and high-speed simulation modes. It also has automatic save functionality so players can resume their control sessions later. The aircraft behave realistically, and pilot voices enhance the simulation experience.
