Holy (formerly United Young) is an app designed for Christians to connect with other believers who share a love for Jesus. It was created by a married couple, Kathleen and Jonathan, who wanted to provide a platform for Christians to meet and build meaningful relationships with others in their community. The app allows users to connect with a diverse group of Christians near them on a daily basis.
If you come across someone on the app who catches your interest, you can wave at them. If they wave back, the app will connect you both and you can start chatting. This feature allows for a more organic and natural way of getting to know someone, rather than just swiping through profiles.
The app also offers various features to help users find friends within the Christian community, read about why others believe Jesus matters, share their own testimony and Bible inspiration, and connect with people who are in similar seasons of life. It is important to note that the app is only available for those who are single and 18 years or older.
Holy welcomes all who confess Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior and consider themselves Christians. This includes Catholics, Nondenominational, Evangelical, Anglican, Baptist, Reformed, Orthodox, Pentecostal, Lutheran, Methodist, and anyone who is just beginning their journey with Jesus. The app was inspired by the call for unity and love among believers, as described in the Bible and in the book "Life Together" by Dietrich Bonhoeffer.

This app was inspired by the call to unity (in Ephesians 4 & John 17) and the call to love and encourage one another (in Hebrews 10 & 1 Thessalonians 4). In addition, we were greatly inspired by Dietrich Bonhoeffer’s book “Life Together”. Bonhoeffer beautifully describes how we can see Jesus more clearly in the lives and testimonies of our brothers and sisters.
