More About Homey - Chores and Allowance
Homey is an application that helps families manage household chores and teach children about financial responsibility. With Homey, parents can set daily, weekly, or monthly recurring chores for the whole family, as well as one-time tasks. These chores can be divided into responsibilities that are required for everyone to contribute to the household, and jobs that can earn children money or rewards. Parents can also manage their children's allowance and extra money rewards, and even transfer the allowance directly to their bank account (US only). Homey also allows parents to track IOUs and add or remove funds from their child's wallet.
One of the main features of Homey is the ability to set saving jars with financial goals for each child. This teaches children about delayed gratification and the importance of saving for the future. Children can learn to manage their funds for each of their goals, and parents can monitor their progress. Homey also syncs across all devices in the household, making it easy for everyone to stay on top of their chores and financial goals.
Homey also aims to teach children real-life financial skills. Parents can transfer allowance and money earned from chores directly to their child's savings or checking account, or track it as an IOU and pay it out in cash. This allows children to learn about banking and the importance of saving and managing their money.
For additional features, users can subscribe to Homey Premium or Homey Unlimited. This includes the ability to connect a bank account and safely transfer allowance and chore money directly to a child's savings account (US only), multiple saving jars for each child, and customizable permissions.
Subscriptions are available on a month-to-month or yearly basis, with the payment charged to the user's Google Play account. The subscription will automatically renew unless canceled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Users can cancel their subscription or free trial at any time through their Google Play Store app. Any unused portion of a free trial period will be forfeited when the user purchases a subscription.
