Xooloo Messenger Kids is a free application that allows children to make audio and video calls with their friends. They can have group calls with up to six friends in video and up to twelve friends in audio. In addition to calls, kids can also text their friends using their personalized Xavatar in the Xooloo Messenger Kids app. The app also features funny animations such as sending kisses, confetti, or custard pies to their friends' Xavatars.
One of the great features of Xooloo Messenger Kids is that it does not require a SIM card or phone number. This makes it accessible to children who may not have their own phone or phone number yet. Kids can create their own Xavatar and change it whenever they want to match their real-life style. They can also see what their friends look like through their Xavatars.
Another benefit of using Xooloo Messenger Kids is that it helps kids stay connected with their friends and never miss a birthday. The app sends an alert when it's a friend's birthday and even surprises the child on their own birthday. To ensure a safe environment, the app only allows invitations from people who know the child's mobile phone number, email address, or Xooloo Friend code.
Xooloo Messenger Kids is completely free to use with no subscription or in-app purchases. However, for children under 13, parental consent is required. Parents will have access to their child's contacts but will not be able to read their messages or chats. This ensures privacy for the child while still allowing parents to monitor their child's contacts.
For parents, the app offers the ability to invite their child to join the app from the onboarding process. However, the child can choose to decline the invitation. Parents can also suggest contacts for their child, but the child has the freedom to accept or decline these suggestions. It's important to note that when mentioning the app to friends, it's spelled "Xooloo" with an "x" and not "zooloo."
