More About Magic: The Gathering Companion
Built in Life Counter is an application designed for Magic: The Gathering players to enhance their gameplay experience. It serves as the official Magic app for store events, allowing players to easily join limited and constructed events at participating local stores. The app also provides event pairs and standings, making it easier for players to keep track of their progress in the event.
With Magic Companion, players can also create and run their own personal events at home. This feature is perfect for players who want to host their own tournaments with friends. The app can accommodate up to 8 players and will track pairings and standings automatically.
To participate in an event with Magic Companion, players simply need to attend an event at a participating local store and enter the event code provided by the store. The app will then notify players when a new round begins and they can easily find their first matchup and start playing.
In addition to event management, Magic Companion also offers a card database with over 17,000 cards from Magic's entire history. Players can browse and search for cards, as well as stay updated on the latest card previews and rulings.
The app is constantly being developed and new features are regularly released. The developers also value user feedback, making it a community-driven app. However, a Wizards Account is required for certain features such as in-store events, running events with more than 8 players at home, and unlocking advanced event settings at home.

Quickly and easily join limited and constructed events at participating local stores. With Magic Companion you can easily find your next match and be notified when a new round begins.
How to participate in an event with Magic Companion:
1. Attend an event at participating local stores. Find one at locator.wizards.com
2. Open Magic Companion and select JOIN EVENT
3. Enter the Event Code provided by your local store.
4. Find your first matchup and get playing!

Tracking event play is now easier for stores and easier for you. Check event standings, get notifications on new rounds, report your match results automatically, and use a built-in life counter to chart you play.
CARD DATABASE WITH 17,000+ CARDS
Browse cards from Magic's entire history and search for the perfect addition to your deck. Keep up with the latest card previews and updated rulings on existing cards.
RUN YOUR OWN EVENTS FROM ANYWHERE
Stage tournaments for up to 8 friends in the Home Tournament Organizer. Add in their names, then let the app track pairing and standings.
