As a classic dice-and-race game, Ludo is designed for two players who each manage four pieces. The objective is to maneuver all pieces home before the opponent does, which adds a competitive edge to the game. The gameplay begins with the player owning the red house. Customary rules dictate that a piece can enter play only when a die rolls a six, while pieces already on the board can advance with any dice outcome. Players navigate a track that consists of 56 steps from their home base to the center of the board, aiming to complete their journey before being bested by their opponent.
Capturing opponent pieces is a key strategy in the game. A piece can capture another if it lands on a block occupied by an opponent’s piece, sending the captured piece back home. However, players must be tactical, as a piece cannot capture if the remaining dice outcome cannot be utilized. Additional rules enhance gameplay, such as the constraint of rolling dice up to two consecutive times only if the outcome is a six. For an efficient gaming experience, users are encouraged to activate the DIRECT COUNT setting in the app's options for seamless play.
