More About Philodéfi
In a few weeks, students will spend the philosophy test at the baccalaureate. To help them master the universe of the great philosophers studied in class and to verify their knowledge, a digital application called Philodéfi has been made available to them. This application supports students in their preparation by offering an interactive and fun way to revise the key concepts of philosophy, in addition to their course and traditional revision sheets.
The author of this application is a philosophy teacher with more than 20 years of experience, who has developed an original card game to facilitate the understanding and memorization of the thoughts of important philosophers. The principle is based on the creation of mental cards illustrating in a single image the thought of a philosopher, including seven major concepts or quotes. Students can quickly associate ideas with each author, making their learning more dynamic and visual.
The 12 selected philosophers are classic figures, often discussed in progress, such as Socrates, Plato, Aristotle, Descartes, Kant or Nietzsche. The application offers structured revision sheets around these thinkers, allowing users to easily navigate their conceptual universe. Videos on YouTube, in particular a presentation of Descartes, complete this resource by proposing a clear summary of the great philosophical notions for each author.
Students are encouraged to start with their favorite philosophers, then to progress by taking up challenges to correctly associate the concepts with each thinker. By advancing in their learning, they can expand their list of philosophers, strengthen their memory and standardize their understanding of the different philosophical perspectives. Thanks to this device, memorization becomes more effective and more playful, thus serenely preparing for the tank test, while offering the possibility of pushing their practice with interactive games and classic or modern oral simulations.
