Sesame is a powerful universal search on Android. It integrates with your launcher, learns from you, and makes hundreds of personal shortcuts. With Sesame universal search, everything is 1 or 2 taps away!
Sesame is an innovative app that will revolutionize the way you use your phone. It has been highly recommended by both Android Unfiltered and TechRadar, and even has a partnership with Nova Launcher. With over 100 shortcuts added to your device, a fully customizable search UI, and the ability to learn from your usage, Sesame makes it easier and faster to access your favorite apps and features. It also has API integrations with popular apps like Spotify, YouTube, and Calendar, and can even detect wallpaper colors and style itself accordingly.
The creators of Sesame believe that swiping, tapping, and waiting for screens to load is a slow and inefficient way to use your phone. They have designed a universal search UI that can fix this problem by utilizing the raw data available on Android devices. They also prioritize respecting user data and do not store or sell any personal information. Sesame is a voluntary purchase and the creators make money by creating a good product, not by selling user data.
Sesame offers a variety of preloaded shortcuts, including contacts, device files, and popular apps like WhatsApp and Yelp. It also supports Android 7.1 app shortcuts, which have been backported to work on devices as old as Android 5.0. Users can also create their own shortcuts for hundreds of apps and access them through widgets or launcher shortcuts. Sesame also has API integrations with popular apps like Spotify, Slack, and Tasker, allowing for even more customization and efficiency.
One of the most unique features of Sesame is its ability to access dozens of search engines and provide Google Autosuggestions as you type. This feature works for apps like Maps, Spotify, and Netflix, and recent searches are saved as shortcuts for 21 days. Sesame also offers an unlimited free trial, with a reminder message after 14 days for users who have not yet purchased the app. And for those concerned about data usage, Sesame only collects data to create shortcuts and does not share or sell any personal information.
Sesame Universal Search was created by Steve Blackwell and Phil Wall, and they are constantly working to improve the app. Users can provide feedback and suggestions through the Sesame subreddit or by emailing the creators directly. With its user-centered development and commitment to respecting user data, Sesame is a must-have app for anyone looking to streamline their phone usage and increase efficiency.
