Survive - Wilderness survival - Android Game Simulation

The Survive game is a simulation game that is constantly being updated to improve the user experience. The latest update, 735, addresses issues with the Blackwater Swamp hatch and adds new animals like the fox. The Grizzly Mountains have also been expanded and there have been fixes to the signaling and rescue system in the Grizzly area. The inventory user interface has been tweaked and achievements have been fixed. Additionally, more content has been added and several bugs have been fixed.


It is important to note that the previous update, 319, was not compatible with Android and would eventually be removed from stores. The entire game codebase was redone twice and the new version is now the only one available. This decision was made in order to continue adding new features and improving the game. Some classic features have been fixed in update 680 and feedback is always welcome.


There have been requests for a "classic" version of the game, and players can email smokesignal@thesurvivegame.com with the subject line "CLASSIC" to impact development plans. The game can be played offline, but if there is an internet connection, anonymized data about gameplay may be sent (such as the number of players). The privacy policy can be found on the game's website and the game does not require players to create an email account or provide personal information.


The game does require certain permissions, such as in-app purchases, full network access (for error reporting), and control vibration (which can be toggled off in settings). The game also stores save files on the device, but does not read any other files. The "run at startup" permission is currently unnecessary and the developers hope to remove it in the future.

This update fixes issues with Blackwater Swamp hatch, adds new animals (like fox), expands Grizzly Mountains, fixes signaling/rescue issue in Grizzly, tweaks inventory UI, fixes achievements, adds more content and fixes several other bugs.

-- NOTE ABOUT OLDER 319 UPDATE --
The old 2018 version codebase was in such state that it became impossible to add new features and eventually this version would have been removed from stores due incompatible android. The whole game codebase was redone (twice) and the new version now is the only one available. This lead to choices that were either "old version is lost forever" or "new version replaces it" and the "new version replaces" was the choice. Some of the classic features have been fixed in update 680 and please do keep giving feedback.

Game can be played OFFLINE. If you have internet connection, then game will try send anonymized data about gameplay (things like "X number of people play game"). Please check out "for humans" privacy policy at thesurvivegame.com - Game never requires creating email account or giving your name or other information.

--- PERMISSIONS EXPLAINED ---
* IN-APP PURCHASES (IAP): You can buy full version, style pack and such. There are no "gems" or "ads" type of stuff.
* FULL NETWORK ACCESS: you can play offline, but if you play online game sends error/exception information about crashes. This helps fixing problems.
* VIEW NETWORK CONNECTIONS: To best of my understanding this checks if your device is online or offline.
* CONTROL VIBRATION: this can be toggled off in the settings. It's used only for in-game events (like if you catch a fish or something like that)
* OTHER WORTH MENTIONING: game stores "save game" files to your device so that you can save & continue game after playing. Should not require extra permissions though. Game does not read your phone files. It only reads game files and via settings screen you can see list of files that were created.
* RUN AT STARTUP: This is some unnecessary permission that we hope to remove (sorry for time being). Game doesn't use it for anything.
