More About VRPlayer : 2D 3D 360° Video

● VRPlayer can record screen/audio of your desktop and streaming it to VRPlayer via VRPlayer Helper.

The "VRPlayer Helper" feature requires installation and execution on your desktop to function effectively. Users must first select or add the "VRPlayer Helper" item within the VRPlayer app and follow the on-screen instructions. Currently, it is in an experimental phase, which means there may be significant latency and instability depending on the user’s network environment and the specifications of the system running the helper app.

VRPlayer is designed to stream a variety of video formats, supporting both standard 2D content and 3D movies configured in formats such as half side by side or over and under for compatibility with VR devices like Google Cardboard. The supported video formats include popular choices such as MP4, MOV, and DRM-free M4V, as well as subtitles in formats like SMI and SRT. Additionally, users can access a broader range of video formats through real-time streaming, which encompasses multiple extensions like MKV, AVI, and more, although it's noted that DRM-protected videos from the iTunes store cannot be played.

Users can effortlessly add or access various items within the VRPlayer app, including the VRPlayer Helper, various folders, FTP servers, and cloud storage services such as Google Drive and Dropbox. The integration of VRPlayer Helper is unique, as it is embedded within the app and utilizes the user's iPhone's IP address for downloads rather than relying on an external web server. For successful downloads, both the iPhone and the server PC must be connected to the same Wi-Fi network, with clear instructions provided to facilitate this process.

In terms of control, VRPlayer offers a range of options for users, as they can manage playback and navigation using either a keyboard or a compatible game controller, such as Xbox or PlayStation devices. Additionally, users have access to numerous gesture-based controls on the app, allowing for intuitive interaction during playback. These features include various swiping, tapping, and pinching gestures to control playback speed, video modes, and subtitle formatting. Users can also enjoy panorama photos in VR, further enhancing their multimedia experience within the app.
