More About War Dogs : WW2 Ace Fighters
War Dogs is a mobile game that takes place during World War 2 and allows players to experience air combat through the use of 24 different aircraft from the five major powers of the time: USA, Germany, UK, Japan, and Russia. These aircraft include dog fighters, dive-bombers, torpedo-bombers, and long-range heavy-bombers. The game offers both single player campaigns and multiplayer arena battles set in five major theaters of war, ranging from the deserts of North Africa to the shores of Japanese isles.
Unlike most air combat games on mobile, War Dogs is built from the ground up as a flight simulator, providing players with an immersive experience. It offers both Arcade and Simulation grade controls, catering to both rookies and experienced players. With control over pitch, roll, and yaw, players can perform basic and advanced air combat maneuvers such as Barrel rolls, Pitchbacks, and Wingovers.
The game also features Cockpit mode and War Emergency power, providing a flight simulator experience comparable to PC and console air combat games. Players can take off and land on aircraft carriers, torpedo enemy warships, dive bomb enemy installations, and destroy their airfields.
War Dogs offers five different campaigns, each focusing on a different major power and their role in the war. For example, in the British campaign, players will defend the British shores from the German Luftwaffe using the Supermarine Spitfire and Fairey Swordfish. In the German campaign, players will dominate the deserts of North Africa using the Stuka Dive Bomber and Focke-Wulf FW 190. The Japanese campaign allows players to spearhead the attack on Pearl Harbor using the Mitsubishi A6M Zero and Nakajima B5N. The Russian campaign focuses on defending the motherland from the German blitzkrieg using iconic Russian aircraft such as the Ilyushin IL-2 and Yakovlev Yak-3. Finally, the American campaign allows players to avenge the attack on Pearl Harbor by taking the fight to the Imperial Japanese Navy using superior American aircraft like the P-51 Mustang, F4U Corsair, and B-17 Flying Fortress.
In addition to the single player campaigns, War Dogs also offers a multiplayer mode where players can invite friends and battle it out in arena-style team battles. Players can choose their squad of five aircraft (2 Fighters, 1 Dive Bomber, 1 Torpedo Bomber, and 1 Heavy Bomber) and face off against anti-aircraft guns or a fleet of battleships while defending their own assets. The multiplayer mode also allows players to choose between flight simulator and arcade modes, depending on their preferred style of play. As players level up, they can become an Ace fighter and upgrade their aircraft.
The game features a diverse list of aircraft, including fighters, torpedo bombers, dive bombers, and heavy bombers. Some notable examples include the Supermarine Spitfire, P-51 Mustang, FW-190 Wulf, Mitsubishi A6M Zero, and Boeing B-17 Flying Fortress. Each type of aircraft has its own unique role and abilities, allowing players to choose their preferred playstyle.
