Resource management is a crucial aspect of WGC, as players need to gather six types of resources: Electricity, Oil, Iron, Food, Cash, and Gold. These resources are vital for constructing and upgrading military bases, training units, and researching beneficial technologies that support one's war efforts. The game encourages players to effectively manage these resources to ensure they build a strong and competitive military presence.
Training units is another essential feature within the game. Players can form and train large armies, which include various branches such as the Army, Commandos, Air Force, and Navy. These units advance across four increasingly powerful tiers, allowing players to launch coordinated assaults on enemy players while simultaneously defending their own bases from attacks. The unique Mecha system allows players to unlock Ultra Mechas in the Mecha Factory to bolster their forces and achieve victory on the battlefield.
Players are also able to research an extensive array of technologies—142 in total—that encompass a wide range of topics including war tactics, economy, and construction.
