Warplanes: WW1 Sky Aces is an exciting aerial warfare game that takes place during World War I. As a player, you will have the opportunity to become a pioneer in this new form of combat, fighting above the battlefields and becoming the ultimate Sky Ace. The game is set in a time when aviation was just beginning to emerge, with the first Wright brothers machines taking flight only 11 years before the start of the Great War. During this time, engineers were rapidly adapting airplanes for military use, resulting in a variety of fascinating and unique designs.
In Warplanes: WW1 Sky Aces, you will have the chance to take control of over 30 historical airplanes, including famous models like the Fokker Dr.I, known for its pilot Manfred von Richthofen, also known as the "Red Baron". From light fighters to massive 4-engine bombers, all planes can be customized and upgraded to suit your playstyle. The game offers two modes for players to choose from - Pilot Mode, where you can focus solely on air combat and collecting/upgrading planes, and Squadron Leader Mode, which adds an extra layer of gameplay by requiring you to manage resources, hire and train pilots, and expand your base.
There are three campaigns available in the game - two for the Triple Entente and one for the Central Powers. These campaigns will allow you to experience all major fronts of World War I, flying over various countries and participating in different types of missions. You will have the opportunity to pilot both fighters and bombers, protect or destroy ground targets, and even face off against powerful zeppelins and anti-aircraft artillery. Your actions in these missions could potentially change the tides of war.

Engineers were quickly adapting this brand new invention into military purposes while creating fascinating and sometimes oddly looking planes.
In Warplanes: WW1 Sky Aces you take control of over 30 historical airplanes – including the Fokker Dr.I, famous for its pilot Manfred von Richthofen a.k.a. “Red Baron”. Others stemming from light fighters like the Airco DH.2 to an enormous 4-engine bomber like the Sikorsky Ilya Muromets – all planes can be customized and upgraded.
