More About DraftCode for PHP IDE
DraftCode is an application that allows you to freely choose where you want to work on your device. You can choose to work inside DraftCode itself or in a folder of a Git Client like WorkingCopy, on iCloud, or other services that offer selectable folder locations. This gives you the flexibility to work in a location that is most convenient for you.
In addition, DraftCode allows you to access your PHP Web App from other apps on your iPad while in Split Screen mode. This means you can work on your PHP Web App while also using other apps, such as Mobile Safari or Brave. This feature makes it easier to multitask and be more productive on your iPad.
DraftCode comes with the standard PHP stack, including popular PHP extensions like MySQL, SQLite, PDO, Curl, OpenSSL, FTP, XML, JSON, SOAP, GD, and more. This means you have access to all the tools you need to develop your PHP Web App.
One of the unique features of DraftCode is that it allows you to run different versions of PHP and switch between them. The app comes with PHP 7.3, but you can also purchase and use PHP 8.0, 8.1, and 8.2. This gives you the flexibility to work with different versions of PHP depending on your needs.
DraftCode has many other useful features, including the ability to execute PHP, JS, HTML, and CSS without an internet connection. This means you can work on your projects offline, making it perfect for developing complex apps like WordPress. The app also supports selecting a custom workspace folder in other supported apps, such as Git clients or iCloud. It includes a Session Inspector to show the state of current session variables, as well as PHP error reporting and syntax coloring.
DraftCode also includes popular PHP packages like WordPress, phpMyAdmin, Composer, and more. You can import and export code from iCloud Drive, other apps, or iTunes file sharing. The app also has a kiosk mode for running your PHP code fullscreen and a script mode for running PHP scripts without a web context or timeout.
It's important to note that some of the included packages may not support all PHP versions, and DraftCode's runtime does not currently support re-write rules. Additionally, a MySQL database is not included, but you can use SQLite when working completely offline.
