Flowx also includes a widget feature for quick updates directly on the home screen. The app pulls data from several global forecast models like GFS, GDPS, and ECMWF, which are updated four times daily, along with additional data such as wave conditions, air quality, UV index, storm tracks, and sun/moon rise and set times. There is support for offline use, no advertisements, no tracking, and minimal permissions, emphasizing user privacy and convenience.
To enhance functionality, Flowx offers a PRO version with subscription options. While current purchases are temporarily unavailable, the Silver plan provides access to extended forecasts up to 16 days, history data, radar imagery, and regional models for the USA, Canada, and Europe. The Gold plan further upgrades this, offering high-resolution forecasts and additional regional models, including ocean conditions and air quality. The app sources data from reputable providers such as NOAA, ECMWF, MeteoFrance, and others, ensuring reliable and comprehensive weather information for diverse global locations.
