ML Trainer is an innovative application designed to streamline the process of creating training datasets for Image Classification machine learning models. This tool empowers developers by allowing them to easily capture and export thousands of images directly to the Photos app on their devices. With robust integration options, users can seamlessly import their captured images using iCloud or the built-in Image Capture app available on Mac systems.
The application features simple controls for image capturing, enabling users to either press the Scan button to take a series of images as they move around their subject, or select the Camera button for a single shot. To enhance image quality under low-light conditions, users can toggle the Flashlight option. Once the images are captured, the Save button is used to export them to the Photos app, making the transfer process straightforward and efficient.
ML Trainer ensures that all images are captured at a consistent pace of three frames per second, but users have the flexibility to adjust the Frame Count settings according to their needs. A higher Frame Count minimizes the time spent capturing images, while a lower Frame Count can enhance accuracy by taking more selective angles. For additional precision, users can enable Crosshairs and Guides from the Settings Menu, which assist in aligning their shots effectively.

However, the images exported are also compatible with other machine learning platforms, including TensorFlow and Azure Machine Learning. For optimal performance in importing data to desktop systems, using a wired connection to a macOS device with the Image Capture app opened is recommended, ensuring that the process remains fast and efficient.
