Welcome to Prompt 3! This application has been a top choice for SSH terminal use on iOS and iPadOS for over 10 years. And now, we are thrilled to announce the release of a highly requested Mac version. But that's not all - Prompt 3 has even more to offer. With two new connection types, port forwarding, and a faster terminal, this version is better than ever before.
One of the most exciting updates in Prompt 3 is the superfast SSH feature. The text engine has been retooled to be up to 10 times faster, and the improved terminal emulation allows for smooth running of programs like nvim inside tmux.
Another useful addition is the Clips feature. This allows users to save frequently used commands and text bits for easy access with just one tap on the keyboard bar. Clips can be stored globally or per-server, making it a convenient tool for any SSH user.
Prompt 3 also offers enhanced security with the use of FaceID and TouchID authentication through the Secure Enclave. This ensures that your keys stay secure on your device.
For those who use Prompt on multiple iOS devices, the Panic Sync feature allows for seamless synchronization of favorite servers, passwords, private keys, and clips. And for those who like to customize their experience, Prompt offers new themes, fonts, and a highly configurable iOS keyboard.
But that's not all - Prompt 3 also includes Jump Hosts and Agent Forwarding, making it possible to access corporate servers even while on the go. And for those with unreliable connections, the Mosh and Eternal Terminal features allow for uninterrupted terminal use, even when disconnected. Plus, with mouse support, users can interact with TUI-based apps through the terminal.

We retooled the text engine in Prompt 3 to be up to 10x faster, and with improved terminal emulation, you can run nvim inside tmux without breaking a sweat.

Put your most-used commands and text bits into clips and access them with a single tap via Prompt’s keyboard bar. Clips can be stored globally or per-server.
