Users can simply position their documents in front of the camera, ensuring they are fully visible, while maintaining optimal lighting conditions to avoid glare and shadows. The application is designed to automatically detect, crop, and recognize the document, extracting both graphic and text fields efficiently.
Among its features, the application boasts automatic document type recognition that eliminates the need for manual selection of country or document type, supporting over 10,000 documents from more than 248 countries. It employs Optical Character Recognition (OCR) that applies to more than 70 languages and automatically segments text into discrete fields, such as addresses and identifying information, based on document templates stored in its database. Furthermore, it offers specialized support for machine-readable zones (MRZs) following ICAO guidelines, as well as for custom formats, regardless of their orientation.
Additionally, the application includes robust RFID capabilities, allowing it to read data directly from electronic documents containing contactless chips, such as ePassports and eIDs.
