This feature enables users to record vocals, melodies, riffs, or lyrics and listen to their ideas within a full musical context using Splice sounds. Whether humming a melody or working out lyrics, users can instantly test their ideas, explore various genres, and generate musical opportunities directly on their phones. Once ideas are ready, they can easily export the recordings to a digital audio workstation (DAW) for further development.
Creating new musical ideas on the go is made simple with the Create Mode feature. Users can tap the Create icon, choose a genre, and instantly generate a Stack of loops from the Splice library, which can serve as a foundation or inspiration for new tracks. The interface allows for flexible customization by shuffling sounds, adding new layers, or replacing existing ones through intuitive swipe gestures. Fine-tuning options like volume and BPM control, along with the ability to listen to individual loops in context, help users craft their perfect sound. Once satisfied, they can save their creation easily.
Sharing and exporting created sounds is straightforward, enabling seamless collaboration and production. Users can access their saved Stacks from anywhere, share them via links, AirDrop, or upload to cloud services like Dropbox or Drive. For advanced integration, the app offers exporting options compatible with DAWs like Ableton Live or Studio One, allowing users to include key and tempo information. Additionally, the app supports saving final mixes or full stacks as stereo files, making it easy to incorporate mobile-created ideas into larger music projects or share with others. Subscribers gain access to a rich library of royalty-free samples, presets, MIDI, and tools, with the flexibility to cancel anytime while retaining access to downloaded content.
