The Explorer application is a versatile and user-friendly file management tool that allows you to easily navigate between different locations on your device. With the ability to use multiple tabs, you can quickly switch between different folders and directories by swiping or clicking on a tab. This makes it easy to organize and access your files without having to constantly navigate back and forth.
One of the standout features of Explorer is its support for various cloud storage services such as Google Drive, Box, Dropbox, and Network (SMB). This means you can easily access and manage your files stored on these platforms directly from the app. Additionally, Explorer offers multiple themes, including light, dark, and home wallpaper, allowing you to customize the look and feel of the app to your liking.
With a built-in text editor, you can easily view and edit text files without having to switch to a separate app. Explorer also allows you to create and extract zip or tar files, as well as extract rar archives. Some permissions are required for the full functionality of the app, such as full network access for network and cloud access. However, no information is passed to the developers over the internet. The app also requires permission to add or remove accounts, but this is only used by the Google Drive SDK to add a new account if desired. No changes are made to existing accounts and no details are accessed apart from the account name. Additionally, the app may need to find accounts on your device in order to list available accounts for logging into Google Drive. And finally, the permission to prevent the device from sleeping is used to ensure that long operations are not interrupted by the device going to sleep.
